| SUSPIRO 1997 classic size (6.25 inches at ear tips) grey Spanish stallion sculpted by Kristina Lucas $180 glazed $150 white bisque 116 pieces produced in glazed grey. The first production firing models had mapped snips and subtle body shadings. This practice was stopped because the shading rubbed when the models were laid on their sides in the kiln to bisque fire. Joan switched to a white body, with more drama in the mane and tail. Manes and tails varied, but on the average, got a little darker and more dramatic as the run progressed. The piece pictured is a first firing piece.
