Champion Custom Pony and Stallion

As a first timer this year at BOYC, all I can say is WOW! One of the most competitive shows I've been to, and one of the most fun! Think of seeing nothing but hundreds of china horses out on display and you'll start to get the idea...  Just a fantastic show, there was a SR Pour Horse Shetland Pony Foal pin in bay pinto, a silent auction with lovely items and a demonstration from Alchemy with Mark Farmer showing us how to cast and put together a AAA bone china mini Friesian foal! Given the scuttlebutt I was hearing, more *all china* live shows may start busting out in other parts of the country!

Pour Horse Pottery provided more of the lovely "rock" trophies, new were smaller Bressay and Nomad rocks, all trophies in lovely art glazes carefully picked out by Addi. There were also special awards for several challenge classes, including Limerick neck medallions for PH challenges, plus, I believe the award for the Breyer Porcelain challenge was a Breyer Porcelain Drum Horse! The LucasFrancis Challenge class had ceramic pony head ornaments given to first and second placers, generously donated by Kristina Francis, who judged the class.

New model sightings galore...

Addalee Velasquez, our show hostess introduced her own new china Morgan gelding, "Falconbridge", a lovely piece indeed!

We also got peeks from Made with Love as both Laurilyn Burson and Maureen Love attended the show. Animal Artistry was a distinct presence with Andrew Garrett bringing the latest bone china minis to show off. Karen Gerhardt had the resin version of her bone china "Caprice" and Caren Goodrich had her new drafter "Feather" present.

And you can see the Animal Artistry Alchemy challenge class pictures here! The guys from England had excellent awards for the show as well as their own special run AAA mini Rearing Shire. We were all impressed by the challenge trophy!
