Although I could be mistaken, I think Okie was the first Pour Horse piece to have its mold made from a resin model. Carol Williams had previously produced this yearling in resin, to much success and acclaim. It's also the first Pour Horse piece to have not been commissioned by Joan (Carol was asked for the earthenware rights after it was a hit in the resin market).
