Donation Guidelines

Due to a large increase in requests for donations to live shows, these guidelines are now in effect.

Pour Horse Pottery is pleased to donate to any live model horse show that promotes a good ceramic (“China”) Original Finish division and/or a good Glaze Custom division. In the past, Pour Horse Pottery has donated up to six sets of Champion and Reserve awards to each show. However, these free donations are taking their toll, taking time away from actual factory production. Any shows who have already received a commitment from Pour Horse for a future show can rest assured that the commitment will be honored. For all others, please note the guidelines for what awards Pour Horse is now able to offer.

Champion and Reserve awards for an Overall Grand Ch/Res China OF Division. This division must not include resins, or if it does, separate Overall awards must be given to the resin entries.
Champion and Reserve awards for an Overall Grand Ch/Res Glaze Custom Division.
First and Second Place awards for a Pour Horse Pottery Challenge or Collectors Class. (Can be split between a “Large” and “Mini” class, each receiving one award)
First and Second Place awards for a Berkwitz Glaze Custom Challenge class. This class should be for any bodies glazed by Joan Berkwitz as customs.
First and Second Place awards for a Marcher Ware Challenge Class. (Can be split between a “Large” and “Mini” class, each receiving one award)

Many requests are received every year, and I am not good at remembering deadlines, so the showholder is required to do two things:

Send an email request, including a link to their classlist, and detailing which awards are requested. Please include also any particular color preferences, they will be taken into consideration when possible.
Two weeks before the show, REMIND me of the awards, and including the address where the awards should be sent to.
